Spam, in digital communication, refers to emails, messages, or texts that are unsolicited and sent out en masse. Advertisers use spam emails to push their products and services, hoping that a large reach will result in enough conversions.

If you post on social media or leave online comments, don’t post your email. If you have no choice, it might help to create a separate email address to be used solely for social media purposes, thus helping to ensure your main email address remains private.

In 2008, McColo, a California-based hosting provider was shut down because it hosted machines responsible for sending “unsolicited commercial email (UCE)” messages. It is estimated that McColo’s servers were accountable for three quarters of all spam messages sent worldwide at that time.

Such messages may contain software that tells the sender you've opened the email, confirming you have an active account, which may lead to even more spam messages.

The principle of this method is to leave the word readable to humans (who sevimli easily recognize the intended word for such misspellings), but derece likely to be recognized by a computer yetişek.
